This has got to be the prettiest, tastiest drink I have ever tried. If you like Palma violet sweets then you would love this. I served it over ice with a good splash of lemonade.. aaaaaaand then Tony poured another and served it with Tonic. I plan to try sparkling water next... hic burp.... mmmmmmm. It looks utterly beautiful in the glass but I would love to be able to serve it over crushed ice... I couldn't smash the ice as we mistakenly bought big chunky ice cubes. Next time I am in Tesco or Aldi I will look out for the normal sized cubes. You can buy a pretty glitter to add to cocktails and that is now on my list of decadent goodies. In truth though I have spotted violet syrup which has no alcohol content and I would be perfectly happy to drink that... I might even have to order some. Although I probably sound a total lush, I am not having a full measure in my glass. More like a good splash with mostly lemonade . Still very pretty and decadent though.

Mmmm, it's a beautiful color. I think I'd like some violet syrup in lemonade, too. That sounds so refreshing.
ReplyDeleteHi Cherie,
ReplyDeleteIf only I lived nearer I'd pop around and have a glass with you, I love anything to do with violets, edible and non edible.
Looks lovely, but I can't drink gin.
ReplyDeleteCertainly looks the part, very decadent. Not too sure about the taste but very willing to try.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful colour - I like to wear that shade! lol It does look refreshing. Our drink of choice here is water :)
