And one more thing... if you know of a nice very cheap smallish house with a huge garden and a workshop then let me know... We are looking for our forever home but it has to have a big garden. I don't like new properties. much prefer crusty old cottages in crumbling old villages... with lots of green space around.
Property prices are very good on the Isle of Lewis, we fell in love when we came on holiday here.

DeleteWouldn’t advise anyone to move to Scotland just now, and that’s from someone who loves her native soil with a fierce and abiding love. A second referendum is looking more likely by the day and the lord help us all if it succeeds this time. We’ll become permanent travellers in our motorhome at that point! We had to come home in June from the west coast of Scotland and abort the rest of our trip, as I was so badly affected by midgies even with specialised natural products and candles. The Avon stuff has never worked for me. Happy house hunting wherever it may be.
