I have wanted a decent pair of sunglasses for ages but just couldn't afford to have a pair of varifocals made into sunglasses. I asked the optician what she thought of clip on sunglasses and she confirmed that they would be absolutely fine.  I had a quick look on Amazon with the intention of buying a pair and saw that you can buy sunglasses that are worn over your existing glasses.  I read some of the reviews and sent off for a pair. They have just arrived and are absolutely fine... Obviously not a fashion item but perfectly ok for my needs. Best of all they only cost £14.99

  1. It's a bit of a dilemma wearing sunglasses if you have to have a prescription. I have some prescription sunglasses but of course when I have a test and need lense's they will have to be changed, and its not cheap to have new lense put in, probably cheaper to get new one's.
Your over glasses look fine, and as long as they do the job that's good.

  2. It took me 30 years to convince my husband of the benefit of prescription glasses. Then he started wearing varifocals and I wish I had kept my mouth shut! Seriously, though, he has developed glaucoma in one eye so the varifocal sunspecs have had a lot of wear these last few weeks of sunshine. You look very smart in your over-the-specs specs.

  3. What a bargain, certainly something that I would try if and when my prescription changes. Thank you for sharing.

  4. They look great Cherie.

  5. When it comes to eye protection, the greater the coverage the better, and these have great coverage. Excellent price, too!

  6. They look great. I have tried some like those but I have a hard time just keeping track of my glasses let alone sunglasses.
