My garden is looking very green and pretty

I promised you a little tour of my garden so I have taken photos of some of the plants that are looking good today.

It looks really fresh after the very welcome downpours that we have had these past few days. The lavender,  lilies and roses smell amazing and at the very far end of the garden we have a jasmine. The evening fragrance is gorgeous and next year I plan to add some very fragrant nicotiana plants. I love plants that have an evening fragrance.  The hostas have been fabulous since we smeared Vaseline around the pots.  Slugs and snails haven't touched them. In the middle of the garden I put the two avocados on the wooden sleepers that divide the two levels. They seem to like that spot. The apple tree hanging over the fence above the sentry box is absolutely loaded down with apples this year and our own little tree has a healthy crop.

  1. Lovely! We need a "sniff" patch on our computer screens for the fragrance :)

Good tip about the vaseline around the pots to deter slugs and snails.

    1. We had tried everything to protect the hostas but the Vaseline is the only thing that has worked for us

  2. No rain here in West Essex, my garden looks like a scene from a dessert.

    1. It was starting to look that way here but a few heavy downpours have made all the difference. I hope you get some rain soon.

  3. Beautiful, great tip about the vaseline. It is raining here quite heavily on the Isle of Lewis. Sadly we seem to have missed this heat wave the rest of the country are enjoying.
