Fabulous bargains

It really does pay to shop around.  Yesterday I had my eyes tested at Specsavers. It is four years since I needed new glasses so there was a change that warranted a new pair. I took a shine to a couple of pairs of glasses and by the time they added on this, that, and the other, it was going to cost me £169 for one style and £239 for another style.  Today we popped into a firm called Onspec….   We have always bought our glasses there. I kind of expected to pay about £130 as they are such a great priced retailer...… The glasses with slim varifocal lenses... not unlike the ones I tried in Specsavers have cost me  £89...…. and I can if I want have a second pair for half price any time within the next three months.... Worth checking them out if you have a branch near you.

But that isn't where the bargains ended today.  We popped into M and S and I spotted a lovely pair of loafers that had been £29.   I tried them on.. perfect fit.. cost  £12.99.   Then I bought 3 good bras... sum total for all three .. £9.89 in the sale They would have cost close on £50 if I had bought them at full price (and I have paid full price in the past)… Tony paid for the shoes and bras as a birthday present for me. I told him to put them away until my birthday rather than just give them to me today.

And just in case you think I have been idle.... I finished another pair of socks yesterday.
