A few friends and I have decided that seeing as how Whist has now finished until September we would meet up and play cards …. at the local pub. We met for the first time last night and what a cracking night out it turned out to be. Tony joined us after his quoits practice and Josie's husband came along at about the same time too. My bicycle earrings were much admired by Josie and we have arranged for her to come over to my house tomorrow night so I can teach her how to make earrings and do a bit of beading. It's ages since I played with my stash of beads so it will be nice to share a skill that I have been practicing for years. It will also help to reduce my bead stash and we all know that every little helps. Having said that. My friend Anona tells me that if you clear a space in your stash then it is the law that someone else will fill it with three times as much stuff.. I do hope not.
Today I plan to cut the grass and do a bit of dead heading. My hanging baskets are really beyond saving so I will pull them all apart and redo them.. I have plenty of plants that I can put into the baskets.
Tonight Tony and I are planning to see Mama Mia at the local cinema. It should be a bit of fun and we have our two for one tickets... Cheap night out followed by a quick shop at Morrison to buy more salad and some of their 'wonky avocados'... We don't mind wonky fruit and veg.
One needs to be very firm about not filling the hole in the stash or it does seem to end up as your friend says :) Enjoy the movie!
