Poor old lupins and Tesco bargains

It has been a very wild and windy day today. The wind has smashed the lovely clump of deep purple lupins to smithereens. The strength of the gusts caused me a few moments of alarm watching the trees bend but thankfully it appears to have eased off a lot now and it really is pleasantly warm.
We popped out to Tesco for a few groceries and found extra large pineapples and flat peaches for 49p. We also found 500g packs of 'cooking bacon' for 59p. I bought two packs for the freezer as it will make a lovely soup at some point.  I do love a good bargain and at times wish my freezer was bigger. The naughty coffee and walnut cake that jumped into the trolley has had a large slice removed.  I will walk off the extra calories tomorrow... if it isn't blowing up a storm out there
