The little trees that I am growing from the avocado pits are really growing well but needed to be pruned... so I did. I have been watching videos on You Tube on how best to keep them small (ish) I will keep them both in my conservatory for as many years as is possible. I can't let them grow beyond 7ft tall though so need to be quite cruel when pruning. Believe me when I say that I was reluctant to give them the chop as they look so strong and healthy. I have placed one of my old placemats at the back just to give you the idea of size. Probably about ten or more inches tall

DeleteThat is looking really healthy :-) I started another one and it has a 4" root and the teeny leaf point is just peeking out the top of the pit :-D I tried one before but it didn't like it when I pruned it and turned up it's toes and died on me :-(
