The avocados are sprouting

Just look at these tiny shoots peeping out of the avocado stones. They are both different varieties and even though I doubt that they will ever bear fruit I will enjoy keeping them as long as I am able. I have no idea how fast they will grow but might look into treating them as large bonsai... if that is possible.

  1. Brilliant!
My younger daughter planted apple seeds when she was in year 4 for a science project. One took and 16 years later produced its first apples.

  2. Exciting! I hope they continue to thrive. We're growing a little Horse Chestnut and an Oak Tree from a conker and an acorn we collected on our walks. I keep meaning to try something else. X
