Oh dear

I had a bit of a calamity today.  I unmoulded the latest cement pot ... it is a tall one.  After slapping on a good thick layer of cement to give it a bit more strength it collapsed.  The weight had caused it to buckle...hmmmn, that was a lesson learned.  I put it back on the mould and have added more cement this afternoon.  It has been sprayed several times with water so it doesn't dry too quickly. Hopefully I can get it unmoulded tomorrow and I will see if it has recovered.

I now have an aching back and every muscle in my poor old body is screaming.  The first bit of sun has me out there moving gravel and hauling logs. I was outside working on the pot at 07:45 this morning. Then I did a spot of gardening. It does look pretty with all the spring colour popping out. I think my goldfish might be breeding as there was a lot of chasing going on. I have taken a couple of jugs of water from the pond in the hope of hatching a few babies. I managed to raise 22 a few years ago but made the mistake of adding them back in into the pond when they were small enough for the other fish to eat. I will keep them in the aquariam for a lot longer if I mange to raise some this time.
