I'm going to do exactly what we Brits are renowned for. I'll moan about the weather. It's sooooo hot. We've had 31 degrees here and it's practically unheard of here in the north east. This morning I was due to walk with some friends but I declined when I looked at the forecast yesterday. At 8am this morning I sat in the garden with a cup of coffee and it was already too hot for me. This afternoon I retreated indoors where it was 25 degrees. Bear in mind that my ideal temperature is about 17.5 degrees. At least when it's cold I can put an extra layer on. There's no escape from excessive heat.
Sorry your weather is too unbearable for you to enjoy . . . just wait a week and it will probably change :) At least that's the case around here.
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely been a lot cooler this past few days
DeleteAll the years that I visited Eastbourne ( where my in laws lived), I really noticed a difference in the summers over the years. I agree with you, being hot is just uncomfortable! We regularly have over 90 degrees here in Georgia as early as May. Climate change is real.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't cope in that kind of heat. I'd spend my life wilting.
DeleteIt makes me laugh how we always moan about it being too cold, then in the blink of an eye we're much too hot. Extremes of temperature - it could be hailing this time next week :)
ReplyDeleteI'm off back down south later, and I'm not looking forward to the intense, city heat. X
I much prefer the cold to the heat. At least I can add an extra layer if it's cold. There's no escape from the heat

DeleteWe have mostly stayed inside the last two days, only venturing out first thing or later in the evening. We have eaten our dinner outside after 7pm and that was lovely. i do need more shade in my garden though.
ReplyDeleteWe've been eating outdoors too. It's lovely during the evening.
