It has rained absolutely non stop all day and I'm thoroughly sick to death of it. Guess I shouldn't really grumble as I would hate to live in a desert when we're surrounded by all this on our doorstep
We've got friends coming over for a meal this evening and it'll be nice to catch up with them. I was an absolute domestic goddess yesterday and cooked everything in advance so that it had time to develop the flavour. All I have to do is heat it thoroughly and transfer to my pretty china serving dishes. The drinks are chilling and I'm off for a quick shower and change into something nicer than my comfy clothes.
Hello Cherie. It's been a while since I visited and now Spring has sprung and everything is growing in the garden again. I do enjoy seeing your garden and it was lovely to see the start of your new pond. I hope you get lots of happy wildlife visiting and keeping the slugs at bay. My tomato plants are growing well now although they were slow starting. Once they thought I was giving up on them for a new seed packet every single one germinated. Such is life in the garden. Glad to hear that retirement is suiting you so well and you are able to things when you want. Enjoy the evening with your friends.
