The pond is almost finished. All it needs is the pebble edging which will arrive tomorrow. Originally we had thought about using gravel and large cobbles but worried that they'd simply slide into the pond. I recalled that a friend had bought a pebble covered edging strip for her pond and to be honest it wasn't much more expensive than gravel and cobbles. I paid a bit over the top so that it would arrive tomorrow. It'll be perfect for frogs and newts when it gets established. We're going to buy some small pond plants tomorrow and it won't look so bare.

Excited to see the pebbles when they arrive and are set in place. Fun.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping that they arrive today.
DeleteDid they?
DeleteThey did
DeleteOh please tell more about pebble edge, sounds perfect for my pond.
ReplyDeleteI ordered it off amazon but it's cheaper to buy from an online pond supplier. It's 40cm wide and a metre long. It's actually called stone pond edging strip.
DeleteOh, Cherie, that's fantastic! I'm tempted to do something similar myself. I currently have only a very small and very neglected container pond. Xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Jules. I'm looking forward to seeing it finished
DeleteYour pond is going to be epic!
ReplyDeleteIt's all finished other than some pond plants.
DeleteHow lovely! What a nice addition to the garden
ReplyDeleteIt'll be nice to see tadpoles if frogs discover the pond.
