Creating a proper craft room

Tony and I made a start emptying the spare room today. I offered the bed on Gumtree and it's getting picked up on Saturday afternoon. It's hardly been used and would have been a crying shame to take it to the dump. There's a lovely thick memory foam topper too.  I'm glad that someone can use it. I've ordered the craft table units for the room. One each.. it'll be nice to have a proper table to set up my sewing machine. I'll definitely use it a lot more if it's set up ready to go.

  1. You will love it, We both have our own rooms for our hobbies. We hardly get visitors so we decided to use the 2 spare bedrooms for ourselves as we use them all the time and every day. A tad selfish some might say but keeping 2 rooms untouched just incase someone comes to visit made no sense. If all else failed we could put up a blow up bed in the sunroom if we had to.

    1. That is exactly what we thought. We are trying to turn the house into a space that works well for us.

  2. Oh what fun! I think it's easier to get rid of things when you're working towards a purpose.

  3. Having a place to have the sewing machine set up does seem to help with doing more sewing. Mine is currently set up on the dining table!

  4. I miss my sewing space, it's all to hand, but often getting it our seams such a chore.

    1. That's why I don't craft much these days. Having a warm, well lit craft room will be fantastic

  5. Our spare room is also my craft room although it d🧵🪡oes still have a bed if needed. Most of my craft bits and pieces stay in there but a few things still travel and find other homes around the house. Your new tables will make sewing so much easier and enjoyable to work on. Happy sewing. 🧵
