Crikey who'd have thought it

The other day I was watching a programme on TV.  They showed a very small portion of rice and announced that it had the equivalent of ten teaspoons of sugar. I absolutely love rice and could happily eat it at every mea.  Though I knew that it's high in carbs I didn't realise it was that high. In truth though I've noticed that it really upsets my stomach these days  so avoid it as much as possible. We're trying to avoid snacking on crisps so l haven't bought any recently. This evening when we got home from whist I wrapped boneless chicken thighs around chipolata sausages.  Then I wrapped the whole thing in bacon.  After securing them with wooden cocktail sticks I cooked them for forty minutes at 180. I had one and Tony had two. Boy are they filling and very tasty. The rest are in the fridge now, they'll keep for a couple of days.  Ideal if we crave salty savoury stuff and far healthier than a packet of crisps (or three).

  1. Everything in moderation is my motto.
I don't eat meat, and the 'thing' right now is all meat. I could stand to lose some weight but I think that's more to do with my love of chocolate rather than the meals I eat.

    1. I don't have a sweet tooth thankfully. Crisps are my downfall.
