I'm having a really lovely week so far. On Monday we had some friends over for a festive buffet. Brian brought his guitar and we had a bit of a singalong. First time we've ever done that and I'm thinking that it might be fun to make it a regular thing next year. The buffet went down a storm and it was so nice to get most of it prepped the day before. I'm amazed at how many zero alcohol drinks are available nowadays. I'd bought alcohol free mulled wine, alcohol free gin and tonic and a bottle alcohol free wine. All from Aldi and very nice they were too. Tony and I aren't big drinkers and it was nice to have something a bit different to offer.
The twelve days of Christmas jumpers are now up to day eight..
Good time with friends is always a winning day. I bought a mulled type beverage at IKEA but haven't tried it yet as a nice option.
ReplyDeleteI added cloves, a cinnamon stick, a sliced orange and some stsr anise to the pan with the mulled wine. The house smelt divine while it warmed on top of our woodburner

DeleteThat sing along sounds like fun. I noticed Aldi had sparkling cranberry juice in with their wines. The non alcoholic options are becoming popular.
