Do you remember a couple of years ago when Tony and I tried car camping? Well I absolutely loved it and we made plans to go all over Britain simply sleeping in the car. Then Tony took ill and we had to gorget all about it. He is much better now thank goodness. Anyway, to cut a long story short we've been planning on buying a new car and I happened to suggest we buy a small van instead. Van life beckons and we hope to travel all over Britain once again. We're not talking luxury motor home here but basically a tent on wheels. This is one of those 'watch this space' moments. I did set up a separate blog when we first started car camping so I'll probably restart it.
Exciting times ahead. Where will you visit first? Xx
ReplyDeleteIt all depends where the garden festivals are.
DeleteOh, how lovely! There are some wonderful vlogs pout there. Have you come across Early Retirement Wanderlust - Richard and Jackie have a small van too and I love watching their adventures. xx
ReplyDeleteI've been obsessed with watching you tube van conversions for the past few years. There are so many fantastic ideas. I'll have a look at your recommendation. Xx
DeleteThis sounds brilliant for you - I hope that you have a blast!
ReplyDeleteI am really looking forward to it.
DeleteI did wonder what had happened with your plans. Our festival van is an old VW works van that Jon soundproofed, carpeted and boarded out himself. Basically we just sleep in it. We've got a driveaway awning where we set up our kitchen. It gives us loads of room - a necessity when we're working! xxx
ReplyDeleteTony has got some friends keeping an eye out for a decent van for us. I'm binge watching no build van life videos
DeleteOh I'd love to see it! It's something we've been thinking about - well not necessarily a van. but camping in something other than a tent (and not too expensive!). I'd love to explore more but on a budget
ReplyDeleteWe car camped few times. My other blog shows the set up we used. It was great fun and I was sad when we had to give it up due to my husbands illness.
