This morning I noticed that one of the peppers growing in the porch has at long last started to ripen. I've got a couple more cucumbers looking very promising too. By the beginning of December I'll have taken out the cucumber plants but I intend to move the pepper into the spare bedroom until after Christmas. It's almost nice enough to grow as a house plant as the leaves are a beautiful shiny green. It just goes to show that you don't even need a garden to be able to grow a small amount of food. A nice warm sunny windowsill might be just enough space.

ReplyDeleteFabulous! There were also some peppers ripening in the greenhouse I visited today. I'm still keeping my fingers firmly crossed for some of my own lemons, one day.
