It's been a cold and grey day today but it's less than six weeks till the solstice. I look forward to the cold but bright days of winter. This dreary, damp, miserable grey darkens everything doesn't it. Yesterday we stocked up on legs of lamb and joints of pork at Sainsbury's where they're still half price. Now I can forget about food shopping for several weeks.. it's so nice having a garden filled with beautiful vegetable

The garden is still looking really colourful! Sorry that you couldn't get out to Whitby. No good walking around in the rain though. Hopefully there will be some sunshine soon.
