Christmas lights

Tony and I are heading home from whist. We're amazed at how many people have Christmas trees and lights already. It's getting earlier year on year.  We should have been going to a ceilidh tonight but it's just too cold and dark.  We really can't be bothered,  especially as we're going to one tomorrow.

  1. I must admit that I haven't been looking for lights. Really not in the mood. Some people get them up at the start of November I think!

    1. The couple across the road from you have put up their decorations now. It looks very festive but still a bit early for me.

  2. Personally, it's much too early for me, but November can feel such a gloomy month, that I can understand why people want to add a bit of sparkle. X

    1. We've put twinkly lights all around our back garden. Nothing to do with Christmas. They light up the dark gloomy evenings and switch off around 10.30 so we don't confuse the night flying creatures.

  3. I haven't seen many lights yet in houses and gardens but there are plenty out in the shop windows and high street. I shal wait until 1st December and then pull out all the stops to decorate for Christmas..
