Recovering from the ceilidh

Last night Tony and I went to another ceilidh.  We danced our legs off all night and thoroughly enjoyed the pie and pea supper that was served half way through.  We also ate more cakes last night than we have in a long time and oh boy did I suffer through the night for it. I'm still feeling the after effects of so many carbs. Thank goodness we don't do that too often. The children at the ceilidh were great fun  up and dancing all night. It's lovely to think that there's a whole generation stepping into our shoes now.  We're off to another next weekend but it's a shared supper so I can avoid all the carbs.

I hope you all stayed safe in the wind that has blown across us all. My poor broccoli has taken a battering.

  1. It sounds like a lot of fun. It's years since I've been to a ceilidh, but i do know that you will have needed those carbs. All that dancing is exhausting! X

    1. The carbs kept me awake but were well worth it for an occasional treat

The poor garden did take a bit of a battering. Hope it's over now.

  3. Your poor garden! I hope the plants survive the wind damage.
