We've had a lovely time in Skipton today. If you don't mind a bit of a walk you can park for free in Morrison's car park for two and a half hours. Then you can move your car next door to B and M for another ninety minutes. They're literally over the canal and a five minute walk into the town centre. We're planning on spending a couple of days there next time we visit. Today was market day and I bought a lovely jumper for £9.99. We had a browse in a couple of charity shops where I picked up some great books. I'll take a photo tomorrow and show you. There's a gorgeous footpath next to the canal that goes for miles. We spent hours walking along it last time we visited Skipton. We didn't do that walk or visit the castle this time but they're on our list for next time.

We always park at Morrisons when we visit Skipton. We visited there with father and went on a canal boat trip for a gentle trundle up and down the Leeds Liverpool canal which was wonderfully relaxing.
ReplyDeleteI just had a little nosy on Google maps and it looks like the Fent shop had moved. That was a fun place to visit!
A canal boat ride is on our list of things to do
DeleteSkipton is lovely. Why not have a look at Lucy’s blog? attic24.co.uk
ReplyDeleteShe takes us on some lovely walks around the Skipton area as well as letting us into her life of crochet, colour and family. Charmaine
