This afternoon Tony and I visited a little garden show which was being held just around the corner from where we live. We were so taken by how friendly everyone was that we've arranged to join the garden club. We're also thinking of trying our luck entering next year. The cost of 20p per entry will hardly break the bank. I've never grown veg to show before but it'll be a fun challenge.

I think you will enjoy the challenge, Cherie. Nice to meet some new and friendly like minded gardeners.
ReplyDeleteYou're right. It's a challenge I'll enjoy. Tony is interested too and it'll be fun to give it a try.
DeleteI will be doing a lot of research and talking to lot of show growers for some tips.
ReplyDeleteI think you will enjoy the garden club.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Unfortunately I've discovered that it's not the kind of club that has regular meetings. It's more a way to buy cheaper seeds and plug plants.
DeleteI think this is great and that you will enjoy the garden club. I forecast lots of rosettes for you next year !

I doubt I'll win anything but it'll be fun trying to grow show veggies
