Wind damage

Blimey it was windy yesterday.  It blew down my huge hollyhock, several sunflowers and an apple tree. That gave us the push to go and visit the garden centre to buy more plants. We got five beautiful dahlias, some chrysanthemums,  busy Lizzie, a couple of cacti, several packets of seeds and some cabbage plants.

I had intended to buy them but Tony has bought them for my birthday.  They're all planted now and Tony and I are currently invigilating.  I think a nice relaxing afternoon is on the cards once we finish.

  1. Oh, no! That's such a shame about your plants. The wind wasn't as bad as I'd expected here, but it still blew the petals off my lovely sunflower. Xx

  2. Oh wow, an apple tree, that was bad, glad you're both safe. Lovely plants for your birthday, and lovely husband to pay for them. Happy birthday xx

    1. It must have been seriously strong wind as we've never seen damage like we had.
