Today's harvest

I've been wandering around the garden harvesting things  for tea. That poor golden beetroot in the front row is desperate for a wee.

This big spud was a volunteer that was hiding in a flowerpot.

And below are more of the Jazzy potatoes grown from my bargain 38p bag from the local Spar

The dark spuds are Blue Danube. My friend Jim gave me three to plant  last year and these grew from ones I saved at the end of the growing season last year. Aren't they pretty.

    1. Thanks Wendy. It's proving to be a very productive year for fruit and vegetables.

  2. Great harvest from your Spar spuds. What a great bargain. The Blue Danube ones are very different but I'm sure they are very tasty especially because you have grown them yourself from the kind gift of a friend. Enjoy all your produce, Cherie.

  3. Another great harvest! I've pulled more of my own beetroot and done some pickling this morning. X
