So guess what I've been making. I've chosen to add rosehips, blackberries and grapes to it this year and I've made a huge pan full. I ordered some Welsh wildflower honey which will arrive tomorrow and I'll be adding a really good amount to the juice I've cooked out of the above. I did pick up a jar of Aldi cheap honey but it's nothing more than sugar syrup. I am tempted to get in touch with trading standards and ask them to test it. It tastes just like the golden syrup I put on pancakes.
The good stuff from Wales will really add to the taste and keeping quality of the elderberries and other fruits.
