My friends and I are taking it in turns to do afternoon tea for the four of us. We go for a good long walk first and then spend the afternoon drinking prosecco and eating lovely goodies. Today Ann was hosting us all and she'd gone to so much trouble to make sure there was loads of low carb stuff that I can eat. And we can highly recommend Aldi prosecco. It was far nicer than the Marks and Spencer one. Ann's set the bar really high and I'm looking forward to hosting our next get together.
It was so nice sitting in her garden having a good old catch-up.. We sat in the shady side of the garden and it was still belting hot. Tomorrow its forecast to be 30 degrees. I think it'll be a knitting in the shade kind of day.

Love afternoon tea, British scones are the best!!!! Not a drinker but a small glass would be a treat!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a big drinker.. can't usually stand the taste..but this was a real treat
DeleteThat sounds really fun!
ReplyDeleteIt's been hot here too. I am hoping things over there cool down next week as I really need a break from the heat!
We're forecast rain next week but we're much further north than you'll be
DeleteWhat a lovely idea. My mum likes going out for afternoon tea too - lighter than going out for dinner.
ReplyDeleteIt's a lovely way to get together with friends or family isn't it
DeleteWhat a great idea, to host your very own afternoon teas. Funnily enough, I had some M&S prosecco last night, and you're right, it wasn't that nice.
ReplyDeleteAfternoon tea is usually a carb loaded sugar filled, junk food feast. This way we get to eat much less junk with treats for those that choose to eat them
DeleteThat sounds wonderful! So glad you enjoyed your get together.
ReplyDeleteSounds wonderful! You are making me "homesick" for England, sitting out in the garden in the summer. We can't here due to heat and mosquitoes!
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely way to spend time with a group of special friends. Enjoy.
