Zero food miles

 For dinner today I cooked some beautiful braising steak in a tasty gravy. I served it with veg picked fresh from the garden. The courgettes I simply layered on top of the beef when I put the potatoes to boil and cauliflower to steam. In truth I think 5 minutes would have been ample for the courgettes as they were a little too soft. Very tasty but soft. There's nothing nicer than fresh picked home grown vegetables

  1. I think there is something special about food you have grown yourself. I am always happy when I can eat something I've grown .
