White strawberries

Earlier this year we bought a punnet of white strawberries from M and S. To be honest they weren't properly ripe so a bit disappointing.  I sliced some of the seeds off the side of one of the strawberries and sowed them in a tray of compost.  I've watched them develop over several weeks but was never fully certain that the seedlings were in fact strawberries.  I

I'm chuffed to bits to discover that they are indeed strawberry seedlings. I'll have to wait a year before I can harvest any fruit but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a decent crop

  1. Not just strawberries but 'better than M&S' strawberries. I'm in awe of your ability to grow anything.

    1. Sometimes I have too much success with seedlings and can't bring myself to throw away the spares. Annoyingly people don't return the pots when I pass on the extra plants.
