I've had a smashing day today. This morning I was working and had to get the train in as Tony had a hospital appointment. I met a lady that I know on the train so we travelled in and walked up to the university together. The exam finished earlier than I expected so I had a walk around town before catching the train home. Tony met me off the train and we went out for lunch. When we got back I used a plastic document wallet to make the roof of the mini greenhouse. The door opens and closes and had caused me a few problems initially as the hinges I'd ordered were just too big. I ended up watching a video on YouTube that showed how to make tiny hinges. After making some and putting the door on I discovered a few different ways to make hinges. Mine are made from wire and Tony asked me to make some for his n gauge layout. They were a real faff to make as the wire is finer than a human hair. We both think that other methods would be much easier for his scale of train layout. The greenhouse and shed need a bit of finishing off now but it's all coming together nicely

What a totally fun project. You are correct, hinges are a pain. I work in 1:6 scale, I can't imagine working in N scale ...so tiny. Now of course you have to make more plants...one thing leads to another! Sandi
