It's been a really great year for strawberries and we've been eating them for a few weeks now. I've just wandered around the garden picking these beautiful fruit. The scent of strawberries is filling the kitchen and it's hard not to nibble one or two.
Tony and I have just finished a 36 hour water only fast. (Tony drank black coffee) I managed 34 hours but broke it with a cup of coffee this morning. I put a teaspoon of sugar in mine but in truth I shouldn't have bothered as I didn't even enjoy it. We were amazed at how easy we found it and are planning to fast for 24 hours once a week. We'll both enjoy our evening meal tonight as the rain has really brought all the veg on well. Tony's out doing his NT volunteering today and has a big container of pork and veg stew to eat for his lunch. I'll be having a tin of sardines. Thankfully I absolutely love them and they're so full of goodness. I find that it is no chore at all to simply eat them straight from the tin.

Yum. What lovely looking strawberries.
ReplyDeleteIs the fasting for a specific reason? Or are there health benefits to it?
There are supposed to be huge health benefits.. time will tell.

They're far nicer than most supermarket strawberries.
