Miniature knitting

I want to make some tiny clothes to hang on the washing line in the mini garden.  I've started knitting this little jumper in 4ply on cocktail sticks/toothpicks but they're way to soft and the end keeps breaking off. I'll have to dig out my 'sock needles' and see if I can find some 3ply yarn in my stash. In all honesty knitting them is a cinch if it wasn't for the cocktail sticks constantly breaking.  Hopefully I'll have better luck with proper knitting needles.

If I can't find any 3ply I may have to split some thicker yarn into thinner ply yarn..it's not difficult just a bit fiddly. I could kick myself though as when I was destashing the craft room I threw out some tiny jumpers that I'd knitted. It never occurred to me that I might need them.
