Tony and I are thoroughly enjoying gorgeous fresh veg from the garden now. Yesterday I made a huge pan of corned beef and vegetable soup. 8 different veggies freshly harvested went into the soup. I made enough for today too and it's blimmin lovely.
I've just picked strawberries and radish then harvested one of my tubs of Jazzy potatoes. We're having a chicken dinner with kohlrabi, new potatoes, onions, garlic, cauliflower and sprouting broccoli tonight. All fresh picked and cost practically nothing to grow. It's not too late to put some potatoes into tubs for an autumn harvest.I can highly recommend growing Jazzy. I've seen them in Aldi.

The corned beef and vegetable soup is new to me. It sounds very tasty so I am going to look online to find the proportions to use.

I don't think about proportions but simply throw in whatever we have available. It's never the same twice. Great for using stuff up.
DeleteYou really can't get better than freshly harvested, homegrown produce. Xx
