I took myself off out for a walk at 6.30 this morning. I half expected to see Marian coming to meet me and it's left me a bit tearful. It's not the same walking on my own but I'm determined to get up every morning and go for a walk the way Marian and I used to.. Later this morning I'm going out for lunch with a friend. We're going for a walk around the local park first. It's certainly lovely weather for it. It's only just 7.30 and I've watered the front garden. Tony bless him will be fast asleep for a couple more hours. I'll have my bed stripped and the bedding washed and pegged out by the time he gets up. I'm definitely an early bird.
I picked this in the pub car park yesterday. It smells divine. If anyone has any idea of the variety I'd love to plant one in my garden

Setting out on your walk must have been incredibly difficult for you, Cherie. I admire your determination. Xx
ReplyDeleteI think it only served to emphasise my loss. It's going to take some determination to continue the early morning walks.
DeleteI'm glad you enjoyed your walk. It must have felt strange going by yourself, but it's a lovely way to honour your friend.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I'll get up early and walk any more. It just wasn't the same.
