I'm a bit under the weather this weekend so I've pulled some of my bead stash out of the box and I'm busy making angels to hang in my new grape vine. I want to make the angels in all colours shapes and sizes and the stitch is Brick stitch if anyone fancies giving it a try. There's plenty of instructional videos on YouTube. I'm using size 15 beads but you might be wise to try something a bit bigger if you've never tried beading before

Whatever it is, I've got it too!
ReplyDeleteThe angels are very pretty. I'm not sure if my eyes will cope with making them but with a good magnifier it is a possibility for a project. Thank you Cherie.
Perhaps larger beads might be an option. Xx
DeleteHope you feel better soon
ReplyDeleteThe angels look really lovely
Thanks Sharon. They're a nice little project.
DeleteThe angels are beautiful and will look lovely in your grapevine. I haven't tried the brick stitch. My beading is either sewn (Indigenous) or woven. My volunteer job is at a National Historic Site in Canada, Woodland Indian burial mounds now under the care of an Ojibwe First Nation.
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I would find that fascinating. I'll have to Google it and find out more.
DeleteHey! Get better soon! Nothing like angels around to cheer you up too.
ReplyDeleteDarn cold is lingering.
DeleteThose are sweet!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jenny. I'm enjoying making them.
DeleteYour angels look very pretty. My daughter is into beading, these days; I might suggest she makes some angels to give as gifts.
