Thank you all so very much for your kind words of condolence. It was a strange day yesterday as friends sent me photo's of Marian and shared memories with me. This lovely lady has left a huge hole in so many lives. I can't even begin to think that I'll never see her again. We won't walk at the crack of dawn or play rumikub or whist together.
There's a new star up in the sky today
It's my wonderful friend, she slipped away
She never intended to say goodbye
And wouldn't have wanted to make us cry
She's climbing on rainbows and swinging on stars
Gathering moonbeams in bright coloured jars
Dancing through meadows and splashing in streams
Whispering softly when sleep turns to dreams
We'll never forget her and nor should we try
It's just see you later it isn't goodbye
For Marian. My best friend.
I know how you're feeling. I too lost a friend yesterday, we'd been friends for 65 years since schooldays.
