This is a tip I was given several years ago. Buying 1st class stamps makes no difference to how quickly something gets to its destination Yesterday I posted an envelope off to the other end of the country using a 2nd class stamp. It's already arrived. Why pay more than we need to.
I'm sitting in the conservatory looking at the giant leylandii hedge with some concern. It's looking pretty sick with lots of bleached looking branches and many brown tips. Although I'd wanted the height reduced I'd be sad to lose the treeline completely as it's a hive of burden activity all year round. It also shelters our garden from some really strong winds. It'll just be my blimmin luck for the hedge to keel over and wipe out half my garden.
.
Good tip! Thanks. xx
ReplyDeletemy mother was saying just the same thing the other week about the 1st and 2nd class stamps.
ReplyDeleteNo second class here - everything takes forever to arrive lol.
ReplyDeleteI spoke to my postman the other day, asked him if his job was safe with the Post Office. He said, it is for now, but they are deliberately running it down. They hold back the mail so it takes longer to get there. They must be looking for ways to save money, so they can pay compensation to all those who were wrongly convicted of theft.
