Tony and I are both invigilating until lunchtime today. I'd gone up to set up the room and was waiting for my student to arrive when another invigilator came into the room. I'd set up in the wrong room. Not entirely my fault as that's where the exam office told me I'd be... note to self. Always check the venue as written on the exam pack. I left the room set up and my colleague came and helped me set up the correct room a bit further along the corridor. Thank goodness I'd allowed myself plenty of time. I've been invigilating for more than ten years and never done ths before. Lesson learned.
My student smiled when he read the exam paper. He'd done a mock exam that was almost identical to today's exam. He'd only taken an hour and a half to complete it so I might get an early finish this morning.
I'm out for tea with friends tonight and it'll be great to catch up with them all.
Oh, goodness me. Not your fault as you were told something different and I guess these things can be subject to change.
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a lovely time with your friends. xx
I learned a valuable lesson and several other invigilators took it on board as well. We each learn from the mistakes and hiccups of others here.
