Just before Christmas my mini oven/microwave died so we bought an airfryer. Yesterday we bought a tumble dryer and a microwave. Would you believe that the flaming washing machine has just died. Guess who's going to look for a new one tomorrow afternoon. Grrrrrr. Oh well, at least the money that we are earning invigilating this week and next week is more than covering the cost of them all so we aren't dipping into our savings. We aren't adding to them either but needs must.
Let's hope that's your spending done for the month, Cherie. We've had an unexpectedly spendy month too, which is a nuisance but as you say, needs must. Flipping eck indeed!!
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed. Thank goodness for the invigilating. It's paying for it all.
DeleteI think electricals must break down out of sympathy for their fallen comrades! Honestly, the number of times one thing goes kaput, and then another ... It's such a shame that so few things can be repaired. Thankfully we have a modern version of a rag 'n' bone man that comes round regularly to collect any metal waste, so at least that makes life easier. (Found your blog via Vintage Vix's site.)
ReplyDeleteHi Valerie. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. X
DeleteIsn't that typical? I hope you manage to find a cheap replacement. xxx
ReplyDeleteWe've been and ordered one today
DeleteThese things always seem to come in threes.
ReplyDeleteThat's exactly what we say. Thankfully we've had our three now.
DeleteOh no! Hopefully that's the end of it. Three things. Always seems to be the way
