Early start on the veg growing

A few weeks ago I decided to push the boundaries and sow some flower and veg seeds. There's tomato and peppers from saved seed. A Marketmore cucumber, antirrhinum, dahlia, busy lizzy, verbena and marigold. I've been pricking them out this morning but run out of compost so I'll have to wait until our Covid infection has gone.  I'd checked the packets for things that can be sown either January or February and selected those where I have loads of seeds in case they fail. It'll be months before they can go outdoors but it's given me something to do while isolating. Tony was a dripping pool of sweat all night so I've stripped the bed, washed and dried the bedding and put it back on the bed this morning. I was up first thing and cooked a huge pan of chicken and veg curry laced with cayenne, cloves and garlic.  It'll do a couple of days and is absolutely divine.  If you can smell garlic then it's probably us as I put in enough to ward off the bravest vampire 🧛‍♂️

I've worn myself to a standstill now so am going to sit with my feet up and read for a couple of hours.  The wind is starting to howl and it looks like the damaging kind. Stay safe everyone if you are affected.

  1. I laughed at the idea of sowing thongs ;-) Sorry, I couldn't resist that!! Hope the eye-watering spicy and garlicky curry does the trick.....at least it'll keep any visitors at bay lol. Stay safe and warm, Cherie xx
