Yesterday Tony went off to his gun club and after a quick dust around I settled myself with a cup of coffee and a library book. When Tony got home he suggested that we pop out for a late lunch to one of our favourite places to eat. On the way home Tony spotted a couple of vans for sale so we called in to have a proper look. Tomorrow we are going over to have a test drive of one of them. Stealth camping looks to be back on the agenda... My friends think we are bonkers but I really am quite excited to think we may soon be van owners... And I'm not talking caravan or posh motor home. It looks like an ex British gas van... classy lady that I am ☺
Today has been wall to wall warm sunshine so I stripped the bed and got it all washed and line dried. It smells gorgeous and will be lovely and fresh for when I go to bed tonight. Simple pleasures are my greatest delight.
I sleep so well in a clean bed! Nothing better. Where does the stealth come into camping?
ReplyDeleteWe get to park up on any street and no-one knows we are sleeping in the car. Saves a fortune on campsite fees.
DeleteOoh, I hope the van is just right for you and Tony, Cherie. More excitement! Buying our lovely ancient static was definitely the best decision we ever made. xx
ReplyDeleteWe'll have so much fun with it. Odd nights away all over Britain are on the cards.
DeleteYou can do so much more with a van. My back seats are permanently down, just in case I need to chuck something in the back.
ReplyDeleteWe had considered a big estate car but we'll use a van more.
DeleteOooohhh - a van. How fabulous. You would have so much fun doing it up too. xx
ReplyDeleteI certainly would. It's going to be quite an exciting project if we can find a suitable van
DeleteHope your van plans went well at the weekend, Cherie. Fresh line dried washing is wonderful to sleep in. Nothing like it is there.
ReplyDeleteI'm still shocked at the market stallholder and not surprised he has lost your custom.
Have a great week x
I reported him to trading standards and hope they look into it. Robbing so and so.
DeleteThat's really exciting on the van! I hope it works out. Maybe there will be some new adventures on the horizon!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your van plans.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
