Cooking on the wood stove

 Yesterday while in town I bought some beef marrow bones so that I could make bone broth. I've cooked them all night long on top of our wood stove and this afternoon I'll portion up the broth and freeze it. The bones cost £1 and it's cost me nothing to cook them


My current pair of socks is coming along nicely.  Unfortunately it's not photographing well but the cable pattern is lovely and I will make more in this pattern

    I can't knit anyway, but just the look of all those needles scares me!! haha. The socks look lovely, by the way.

      I love bamboo needles. They kind of grip the yarn. Metal ones are too slippy.

    I can see the cable pattern. Looks like the socks will be nice and comfy for winter. I like the wooden needles. I find them easier to use than the others.
