Blimmin cheek

I decided on a whim to see if I could have a dry trim on my hair today. We called into a couple of hair salons only to be told that they don't do dry trims.  One woman said to me that they don't cut hair dry as it ruins the scissors. I could accept that until she curled her lip and said 'particularly on hair like yours'..  'Do you mean fluffy' says me.  No, there's just so much of it  says she.  I most definitely won't be getting my hair cut there. I felt like some sort of yeti.  Needless to say I came home and gave it a bit of a trim myself... and a darn good job I did too. Saved me £32. Tony cheered me up with some seed potatoes and a Saracenia from the garden centre. It's the most beautiful plum coloured plant.

  1. WHAT!!! We have what they call - Walk-ins or Just Cuts in most places, ie: cities, suburban & regional larger towns. Much cheaper & even have pensioner rates too. They also do some of the quirkier hair cuts the young ones want these days.(giggle). Your new plant is lovely. Take care & hugs.

    1. I've never had a problem getting it cut before. I certainly won't go to Stokesley for a hairdresser again

  2. What a rude person. Surely their job is to fulfil the client's wishes. xx

    1. She's lost a potential customer as I'm trying different stylists and salons to find one I'm happy to stick with.

  4. Wow! Can't say she's much of a hairdresser. I have a regular lady I go to for a haircut. She's wonderful. No complaints about dry cutting, changing styles, staying the same, changing my mind. She really is great. I've been going to her for years.

    1. My usual hairdresser is very hit and miss. Sometimes I get a great cut and others a knife and fork haircut. I'm trying to find a consistently good one.
