I get so much done when himself is out and I have the house to myself. Last night while Tony was out playing quoits I got three loads of washing done, mopped the kitchen and both bathroom floors. I potted on all my tomato plants and put half the laundry on clothes horses. Then I poured myself a glass of pear cider. I reckon I earned it.
This morning before going out for my early walk with my friend I put the two clothes horses out in the garden and filled the line with the laundry. Not bad at 06.45. It's now just after 9 and I'm trying to motivate myself to have a quick sweep around the garden. Mr blackbird keeps flicking chipped bark all over the paths and it looks a right old mess. Tony is fast asleep as usual. He'll surface at some point but I do love the peace and quiet when I have the house to myself. We're off to a talk on low maintenance gardening at teatime. There's a sale of plants too so I might pick up a couple of bargains. Have a lovely day everyone but wrap up warm. It's another chilly one.
I'm very routine oriented, having worked full time while raising our 3 kids & with hubby away most of the time as a long distance truck or bus driver, so it's hard to shake habits of a life time. Wish we were nearer to have a cuppa & share our experiences. Another long walk for us today to pick up the car after a service, but hopefully not in the "pouring" rain. Wish I'd never let my car go as I miss my independence so much. Hope you had a good day, take care & hugs from a cold, windy down under. The fire is still just going as I type this.

DeleteWow you did get a lot done! I find it easier to get things done when husband is gone. Not sure why. I can just flit about the house without feeling like I'm getting in his way.
