Yesterday we watched the coronation from the comfort of our sofa and enjoyed every second of it. We are staunch supporters of our monarchy and furious that some individuals wanted to spoil the day. They didn't have to choose yesterday to demonstrate but are now whinging that they weren't allowed to. How dare they try to spoil such a wonderful occasion. The money from tourists that will have flooded into the capital yesterday will be eye watering.
I am in favour of the right to demonstrate peacefully whether I agree with them or not but not when the world is watching and there are so many foreign dignitaries around, it becomes a security thing. That is a different matter entirely. xx
ReplyDeleteThey'll all be bleating on for weeks that they were stopped.
DeleteWe watched it over here too, "live" until around 10.30-11pm, then went to bed. I can't believe how much the world has changed this century with all the horrendous carry on about things. Take care & hugs from down under.
ReplyDeleteThe Coronation certainly was a wonderful occasion.
ReplyDeleteI thought Sundays concert was good and lovely to see the pictures from todays 'The Big Help Out'.
All the best Jan
