My friend Val has been sorting out her dad's garden as he can no longer look after it and she's offered us as many huge plant pots as we can use before they all go to the dump. We are having to empty them so it's taking a bit of time but I'll have plenty more growing space as soon as we are finished. The tubs are big enough to take a fair sized tree and I'm weighing up whether or not to buy an apricot,cherry,plum and peach from gardening express. It's a case of watch this space.

DeleteA friend donated some gorgeous massive terracotta pots last year, we've got Acers in a couple of them and I'm thinking about a fig tree in another. We're off to a little family run nursery next week to see if they've got one. xxx
ReplyDeleteI bought some little fig trees last year. I gave one to a friend and kept two for myself. Hopefully in a year or two I'll be eating fresh figs
