Emergency alert test

 While out with friends last night the conversation got around to the emergency alert test that is due to take place on Sunday afternoon at 3pm. I've clearly had my head under a rock as I knew nothing about it. Just a heads up everyone just in case you didn't know either.  At 3pm a siren will ring out from our mobile phones . Have a read about it online. Please mention it on your blog too as perhaps your readers might not have heard about it.

    Interesting. Our town has one the first Saturday each month. The first time I heard it I got quite scared! It's really quite loud. In all the years I've lived here I've only heard it go off (other than the test) when we had a tornado warning a couple of times.

    I knew! I've had a message from Smarty, my SIM provider and Jeremy Vine's been banging on about it all week. It's easy to disable the blasted thing if you Google *Turn off government alerts". xxx

      I don't listening to radio 2 any more it's gotten too trendy for me.

      It's the TV show, Jon insists on having it on, I can't stand the bloke!. My radio is always tuned to 6Music! xxx
