It's the first of March already and in true tradional way I will say white rabbits. I made a few more cards this morning so I'm all organised for upcoming birthdays I've also made a few non birthday cards for a variety of occasions. It was a bit on the cold side this morning when I went for my walk and the day got colder and wetter so definitely an indoor kinda day. For breakfast I made some apple and oat pancakes. I'm eternally grateful to Joy for the inspiration. It's a recipe I've used many times now and it's a great way to use up some of my home grown apples. We've been amazed at how well they have kept and I've a couple of dozen to use up. They're lovely in salads too so quite versatile. I'm looking forward to seeing how well my fruit trees do this year. The blossom will be a lovely addition to the garden. I've seen quite a variety of blossom in my neighbourhood recently but the forecast is for some fairly cold weather to come.
They are very tasty, aren't they?
ReplyDeleteDriving back from Sainsbury's there was blossom in the hedgerows but snow is now forecast here for next week so - well, we will see.
xx
Tony was really impressed with them. Snow is forecast here too. Hopefully it won't last long.
DeleteHappy March to you.
ReplyDeleteDidn't January and February fly by!
All the best Jan
They really did. It'll soon be the long hot days of summer
DeleteIt sounds as though you are really getting some cards made. They will be good for birthdays and occasions to pull out and not have to fuss about making them in a pinch. The recipe sounds tasty.
ReplyDeleteI'm really enjoying making the cards and decorating the envelopes.
DeleteIn my bones, I think that when I do make my feeble attack on the garden, it will be in April as I feel it will get cold. I love apples in rice salad
ReplyDeletePancakes and blossom, now you're talking. Lovely to have a stash of homemade cards Cherie :) x
