Such a lovely day.

It's a warm and sunny day today and I've had such a good day. We popped into the local library to change my books this morning.  Then we went for brunch at Alexander's. It was lovely catching up with Beckah's mum, dad and gran. They're such nice people. After brunch we popped into town and Tony bought me a beautiful pen. I've wanted a nice pen for ages and never got around to buying one.

I've had a few poems printed in the People's Friend magazine and Tony likes to tell me he married to a poet. I now have a pretty notebook and nice pen for when the poetic urge overwhelms me  😀 I must be honest and say that I often get the urge to write when we are out for a drive. Now I'll be able to put pen to paper and wax lyrical.

  3. Lovely pen & I have to admit, I love the pen DH made me from coloured pencils & keep it in my handbag. Another published author!...........my DD has been published several times in Take Five many years ago before kids, but has a book underway now too. Good on you & hope you get the urge to write frequently. Take care & hugs.

    1. I definitely don't have a novel in me.. Perhaps a book of poetry one day.

    1. I've written poetry since I was a child and was delighted when the magazine accepted mine. They pay £15 for each poem if you fancy giving it a try.

    2. My poetry isn't up to that much, but I'll have a think. Thank you.

  7. I love a good pen. How nice that you write poetry! Have you thought about sharing some on the blog? I used to write stories all the time, but haven't written for a while. I think that now I like taking photos to tell the story.
