Last weekend we sold our trailer and it's being collected today. On Wednesday we went out to look at some vans to give us an idea of what we could buy for our budget and were pleasantly surprised. Tony did get a bit over ambitious with the size of van but he listened to reason thank goodness. We aren't rushing into buying one but it's an exciting project and will make our car camping trips a lot more fun. For the past few years I've watched countless car camping conversion videos on YouTube and the possibilities are seemingly endless. On Thursday we went to our friends for tea and a video night. Tony chose Bank of Dave which isn't something that I would have even glanced at but we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Our friend Brian packed up some leftovers and some of their home grown sweetcorn for us. I have lovely friends.

Exciting to be looking at vans Cherie. Years ago, when I was in a touring band, I had my heart set on a little Mazda Bongo Van, but it wasn't to be. How fab to have a tea and video night, with delicious leftovers :) x
ReplyDeleteYou have to wait for retirement now and then you can buy that little van.
DeleteTake your time, pick the appropriate one. I gather this is not a caravan as such, but a campervan? Will this mean you have 2 vehicles to park on the drive? Nosey aren't I, but we've often thought about a small camper instead of towing the caravan, but keep procrastinating. Glad you had a lovely night. Take care * hugs.
ReplyDeleteIt will be our only vehicle. We don't want a campervan but simply a tent on wheels
DeleteLove the idea of a camper conversion. We want something other than a tent. Feel like we're getting a little too old lol. Besides it would be nice to be able to go camping when the weather isn't as warm and have a nice place to hang out (while camping) when raining.
ReplyDeleteWe are planning on treating it like a tent. We don't have the skills to do a fancy conversion and simply want somewhere to sleep.
